TEAM CLOTHES 
This team chose the overarching theme of non-verbal communication, which is mostly more effective than verbal communication. This is particularly true for intercultural communication, where clear gestures, facial expressions, and body language cues are crucial. The team opted for the Javanese style of dress, which is an unwritten law, especially at public institutions and universities.
Team Gestures
Gestures, which are part of body language, are also part of non-verbal communication. For example, shaking the head and nodding can have completely different meanings than in Western cultures. This team decided on two important gestures of greeting and meeting, the “Salim” and the “Mlangku Wungkuk”. They are common throughout Indonesia but are usually incomprehensible to tourists.
